Character parts are cosmetic items for multiplayer characters. They can be unlocked via the slot machine (though very rarely it would seem) or at regular intervals through levelling up one of the five multiplayer characters. As their name would imply, they are parts of the various character models from friends and foes alike that can be found throughout the game. They are split into four parts: Head, Chest, Legs, and Backpack. And can be mixed and matched freely. Each of the five multiplayer characters unlocks different character parts for levelling up. The Rounders character unlocks parts that include the mercenaries from episode one and the waysiders from episode three. The fight junkies character unlocks that include the jungle pirates, carpetbaggers, and vagabundos. The show pirate elites character unlocks parts that include crimson unity pirates from Lost Planet one, mountain pirates from that game as well, (who are also found in the city in episode two) sandraiders from episode three, and men in acrid-like outfits. The NEVEC black ops character unlocks parts including the various NEVEC uniforms that NEVEC wear throughout the game: Ex-NEVEC uniforms, new NEVEC uniforms, and the desert and aquatic uniforms. And the femme fatale character unlocks parts based off of various other outfits, those being outfits resembling sexualized versions of the carpetbagger, jungle pirate, waysider, sandraider, and NEVEC uniforms.
