GAN-A04SD (Codename: Cyclops) can't be controlled by players. These drones hover around an area and emit a visible search laser. If you cross the beam, that Cyclops and all of the others around it will swarm in and start attacking you with its built-in laser rifle. The red "eye" is the weak point, though most Cyclops have a set of metal shutters that they keep closed most of the time for protection. When they expose their core, they can be eliminated with any weapon. Based on comments made by members of Task Force First Decent, it appears that this model of VS has become obsolete by the time Lost Planet 2 takes place.
