The VS Laser Rifle is an energy weapon that can either fire a standard shot, or be charged for increased firepower. Increasing the power of the shot also increases the amount of thermal energy consumed in the process.
The VS Laser Rifle is reasonably effective against Vital Suits, but its slow rate of fire makes infantry somewhat more difficult to hit. The shots fired from the Laser Rifle have a higher velocity compared to other energy weapons, although it may still be necessary to lead moving targets at extreme ranges. Careless use of the Laser Rifle can lead to rapid T-ENG consumption in a short period of time, and should be taken into consideration.
When fully charged, the gun's "rails" separates further in order to support the large energy, and an orange cylinder below starts to emit more intensity and spins faster.
